It means that it requires four strokes of the piston to complete one power cycle of an engine. These four strokes are called intake, combustion, power, and exhaust.

The intake stroke is the action of filling the combustion chamber with air and fuel mixture; it happens when the piston reaches the TDC and BDC that opens the intake valve.

Compression is when the air and fuel mixture is sealed within the cylinder and forms a charge that ignites, heated, and in turn, builds energy. The power stroke operates by forcing the piston to move a rod connected to the crankshaft or crank of the engine and allow it to rotate. Lastly, the exhaust stroke is when gases already spent are released from the combustion chamber and into the atmosphere.

Maintaining power on 125cc 4 stroke engine ATVs is quite hard, knowing now how much it goes through during use. To keep up with all the rough and tumble, most ATVs utilize 125cc four-stroke engine; it consists of four parts, mainly the intake pipe, spark plug, drive sprocket, and sprocket cover.

One of the advantages of using 125cc (Cubic Centimeters) is that since it has more cylinder volume, it can take more massive amounts of fuel. The more fuel the cylinder has, the more power it produces, which results in longer mileage or efficiency of the engine. It means that the ATVs can reach greater heights, conquer the roughest of roads, and cover more distance. What’s not to love about that?
