If you’re running a blog like n4gm.com, you know how crucial it is to maintain a clean and reputable backlink profile. Spammy backlinks can harm your website’s SEO and lower your site’s credibility. In this article, I will share how I tackled spammy backlinks effectively.

2. Analyzing the Backlinks
As you can see in the above image, there are 99+ backlinks created today. When I see them, I'm surprised to see that without creating any backlink how it is possible. Here in this image, you can see that the links coming from very bad sites, because the page Authority Score of these sites is 0. And one thing more all the Anchor Text are the same in all backlinks which is 1337x.To identify and make sure that they are low-quality backlinks that are used to spoil my SEO. I further take some actions if you’re facing the same issue you can also do the same.
Once I identified the spammy backlinks, the next step was to analyze them:
a. Checking Relevance and Quality: I checked if the linking sites were relevant to my niche and had good domain authority. Irrelevant or low-quality sites were marked as spammy.
b. Looking at Anchor Text: I analyzed the anchor text of these links. Spammy backlinks often have over-optimized or irrelevant anchor text, which is a red flag.
3. Taking Action
After identifying and analyzing the spammy backlinks, here’s how I tackled them:
a. Contacting Webmasters: For links from legitimate but irrelevant sites, I reached out to the webmasters, requesting them to remove the links. A polite email explaining the situation often did the trick.
b. Disavowing Links: For persistent spammy links or links from harmful sites, I used Google’s Disavow Tool. This tool allowed me to tell Google to ignore these links when assessing my site.
4. Monitoring Regularly
Tackling spammy backlinks is not a one-time task. Here’s how I ensured my backlink profile remained clean:
a. Regular Backlink Audits: I scheduled regular audits using SEO tools to keep an eye on new backlinks and spot any spammy ones early.
b. Keeping Content High-Quality: I focused on creating high-quality, relevant content to attract natural, high-quality backlinks. This proactive approach helped in reducing spammy backlinks.
Understand The Impacted Post Deletion:
All these things are fine but what if I deleted this post, Does this step help me to reduce the chances of being penalized?
I have deleted this post and now my URL is showing – 404 error: Page not found. But still, I have many questions in my mind which I will share with you. If I’m on the wrong track please make me correct through the comment section.
