Vikas Sharma was born and brought up in Kanpur city and completed graduation from the same city. After graduating, he started his professional career as a reporter at All India Radio in 2004.
After this, in 2005, he started work as a deputy producer in the S1 software company and stayed there for the next 2 years.
While working there, he also worked as a producer and correspondent for the news station TV 100 in 2006 and stayed there for one year.
In 2008, he started working as a producer for Total TV and later became a news anchor for Sadhna News in the same year.
After three years at Sadhna News, he left in March 2011 and joined as a news anchor for Janata TV. He also worked there for one year and two months.
In 2012, He started working as a news anchor for India News and stayed for over two years. Later, he joined Samachar Plus as an anchor-cum-producer in March 2014.
However, on 2nd Feb 2019, he joined Republic Bharat as a news anchor and is undoubtedly one of the best news anchors. He anchors the show ‘Yeh Bharat Ki Baat Hai’ at 9 p.m. with all his fabulous skills, and this has become one of the most popular shows on the channel.
