Preparation:

1. Making the Dough:

  • Gather your ingredients: You’ll need flour, water, dried yeast, sugar, salt, and olive oil.
  • In a bowl, combine the flour, water, dried yeast, sugar, salt, and olive oil.
  • Start kneading the mixture until it transforms into a smooth and elastic dough. This might take a few minutes of kneading.
  • Cover the dough with a tea towel and let it rest in a warm spot for approximately 1 hour. Watch it grow as it doubles in size.

2. Crafting the Sauce:

  • In a pan, heat up some olive oil.
  • Toss in the chopped garlic and let it sizzle for about 1 minute, filling the air with its aroma.
  • Stir in the tomato puree, dried oregano, salt, and a pinch of pepper.
  • Cover the pan and let this delicious mixture simmer on low heat for around 15 minutes.

3. Assembling the Pizza:

  • Preheat your oven to 220°C (around 430°F).
  • Take your risen dough and divide it into two portions.
  • Roll out one portion into a thin, round pizza crust and place it on a baking sheet.
  • Generously spread your aromatic tomato sauce over the dough.
  • Now, it’s time to get creative with your toppings! Add half of the pepperoni, sliced sausage, mushrooms, onion rings, and strips of green pepper.
  • Don’t forget to cover it all with a generous sprinkling of mozzarella cheese.

4. Crafting a Fun Variation:

  • With the second portion of dough, have some creative fun! Shape it into a cat, complete with a head, ears, body, and tail.
  • Just like before, add a delightful mix of pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, onions, and green peppers to your pizza cat.
  • Top it all off with more mozzarella cheese for that gooey goodness.

5. Baking Magic:

  • Place your prepared pizzas in the preheated oven.
  • Let them bake for approximately 15-20 minutes or until the crust turns a beautiful golden brown.

Now, you’re ready to enjoy your homemade pizzas with a unique twist – a delicious regular pizza and a playful pizza cat!
